THEORY OF CHANGE – A Tool for Strategy and Evaluation
|Date:||Thursday, 26th May 2016|
|Time:||12 noon – 3.15 p.m.|
|Venue:||KPMG Hong Kong, 8th Floor Princes Building, Central|
The STEP Hong Kong Philanthropy Group exists to help build a community of philanthropy advisors and charities professionals. The purpose of this conference is to provide professional development support to those involved in advising both funders and NGOs.
Theory of change – the process of mapping out in detail how you expect change to happen – is being used by more and more non-profits as a tool for strategy and evaluation. We will look at what we mean by the concept, how to create a theory of change and why it is so valuable. Addressing the subject from both the funder and NGO angles, we will help attendees to understand why it is worthwhile to have a more strategic approach to philanthropy, how this can assist in assessing whether an NGO is working as well as it could be and understanding how to improve.
