Shweta began her career with an internship with Unilever India and went on to lead External Relations for Procter & Gamble India and Asia across its portfolio of Health Care; Detergents & Home Care; Beauty & Grooming; Baby & Feminine Care before joining Kimberly-Clark Asia. Shweta has been responsible for driving a strategic synergy between businesses, brands and sustainability; be it via developing P&G’s Shikshaa Multi-brand Cause Related Marketing program now in its 11th year, Parivartan (Transformation) a partnership with the Ministry of Health on menstrual hygiene and more recently Kimberly Clark Foundation’s Toilets Change Lives and its partnership with WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to advocate sustainable forestry in Asia. As part of the global Toilet Board Coalition, Shweta is spearheading a partnership with social entrepreneurs to improve sanitation access in rural areas via a market-driven model. Over her career, she has been a key member of key industry chambers; spokesperson at international & Asian forums; authored papers like ͞Keeping Girls in School͟published by the University of Pennsylvania and ͞Impact of Policy on the future of Indian FMCG͟ for FICCI; been a jury member for the Holmes Report and PR Week Asia Awards and garneredawards like the Cannes PR Lions for Gillette, US Embassy Award for Best Corporate Citizen for P&G, Public Affairs Gold Standard Award for Public-Private partnerships; Singapore Business Federation Award for Sustainability for Kimberly Clark among others. Most recently Shweta was named among PR Week’s global list of Top 500 Communications Heads. A gold medalist MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (Mumbai University), Shweta is based in Singapore with her husband and two sons.
