Plenary 3: Effective Capacity Building
25-May-2016 Return to conference program
9:30am to 10:45am
Room Z209 / Main Auditorium
Session Description
Capacity building is inherently about improving the effectiveness of social purpose organizations (SPOs) to deliver on social outcomes. Capacity building requires both financial and non-financial capital to develop stronger SPOs. Funders, however, often prioritize allocating resources to the end programs over capacity building efforts, which can consequently inhibit social outcome success.
This plenary taps into the deep experience of our speakers to explore the lessons learnt in their respective capacity building journeys and offers an opportunity for audience dialogue on those lessons can be applied meaningfully in Asia.
