Session Description
Venture Philanthropy acknowledges that working within our silos limits the impact that we are able to achieve, and at AVPN, we encourage the community to work across sectors in order to leverage on each others’ strengths and resources. In recent times, the concept of collective impact has started to take off within the AVPN community. This is where funders and the community work collectively together to achieve social goals.

Working towards Collective Impact is complicated and aligning each organisation’s agenda, measuring and monitoring the impact is also a complex process. For this session, we feature Collective Impact cases from Australia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. They are all at different stages of developing and executing their programme and will share their challenges and experience.

Key Takeaways for Audience

  • Why Collective Impact?
  • What were the main obstacles and challenges faced by each group?
  • What are the main goals that the funders hope to achieve that they cannot achieve by themselves?
