Mohini Bhatia is a senior professional with 15+ years of private sector and development finance experience across GE Capital, World Bank Group, social venture capital and the International Finance Corporation (private sector arm of the World Bank Group). She currently is the regional coordinator for the World Bank Group’s Social Enterprise Innovations program in South Asia, based in New Delhi. Her prior experience includes social venture capital, SMEs, microfinance, financial inclusion and work across emerging markets with private sector and Government. Mohini led IFC’s affordable housing finance market development work in South Asia in partnership with the National Housing Bank through investments and technical advisory.
Mohini has actively worked across 18 countries in Europe and Central Asia, South and Southeast Asia including: China, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Mexico, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Croatia, Romania, Kazakhstan, Timor Leste, Nigeria, South Africa. Mohini has completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelors in Economics, Operations Research and graduate coursework towards a Masters in International Affairs, both from Columbia University in New York.
Mohini is currently based out of Chicago and New Delhi.
