Jonathan Tan
Assistant Head for Social Finance, Strategy & Research, RAISE Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise

Jonathan’s avid passion for innovation and social impact has led him to his current role as Assistant Head at raiSE, Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise, where he oversees grant assessment and account management of a S$15 million fund for social enterprises. Jonathan also manages the analysis of data and research to advance raiSE’s work in developing a vibrant social enterprise ecosystem in Singapore.

Prior to joining the public service, Jonathan was actively involved in youth community initiatives and the start-up scene. In 2013, Jonathan was part of the Social Enterprise Policy Team at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, where he led new initiatives to galvanise solutions by the community for the community. He also led talent development initiatives and the research on the Social Enterprise Landscape in Singapore which subsequently contributed to the formation of raiSE.

Having been in the company of many inspiring entrepreneurs over the years, Jonathan believes strongly in the potential for businesses to create sustainable social impact.

Jonathan graduated with a degree in Economics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
