Anthony Wong is the Business Director, Policy Research and Advocacy of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. During his 18 years of service in the Council, nearly 8 years were spent on three major areas of work concerning social development, social research for service excellence, and social impact assessment. He is responsible for 3 major areas, namely social development and social impact assessment, advocacy on poverty and employment policy, and social enterprise and innovation. Anthony was appointed as a Part-time Member of the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government in 2010, serving in the Unit for 2 years from 2010 to 2011. He is now a member of Social Enterprise Advisory Committee under the Home Affairs Bureau and a member of Youth Focus Group under the Housing and Transport Bureau. Anthony received his Bachelor of Social Work degree from The University of Hong Kong in 1992, and M.Phil in Social Sciences from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1997. His is now Ph.D candidate in the Department of Sociology of The University of Hong Kong. He is a registered social worker in Hong Kong.
